Call2Teams - Customer

With the Phone App installed in the user's Teams client, it can be used to make outbound calls to number and contacts.

To prevent the users needing to log in with admin credentials to use the phone app, the administrator should authorise the phone app for the entire organisation by selecting the button in the Teams Services tab in the portal

Using the Phone App

The Phone App requires the user to log in with their Microsoft credentials.

The App will prompt for the user to log in

If your Organisation has never used Phone app before you may get this screen;

Please authenticate with the Global Admin to approve the Application. (this is a one time per tenant process)

* Once completed you may need to close and reopen the Teams client.

The user now has access to the dial pad and contacts to make calls

DIal a number and press the call button

Alternatively, a contact can be called by selecting the phone icon associated with the contact.

If you want to amend your 365 Contacts to represent Extension numbers on the PBX then you will need your 365 Admin to amend the contact information for each user (example below)

(changes may take up to 24 hours to reflect within the Phone App contact list)

The Teams client will ring with a call labelled 'Outbound Call', the user will answer this and the call will be placed to the contact.
